Colgate CARE Program
Colgate-Palmolive is proud to offer the Colgate Award for Research Excellence (CARE). The CARE program is a 1-year research grant ($30,000.00 USD) to foster the development of first-time-in-career (0 to 5 years) academic oral health or dental researchers. The goal of the program is to advance oral healthcare therapies in the realm of basic science, translational science, and clinical care. In order to be eligible to apply for the CARE grant, you must
- Have a primary appointment as a full-time faculty at an accredited dental school in the USA or Canada
- Be in the first five years of your initial academic appointment
- Have additional sources of financial support for the proposed study
Colgate-Palmolive Dental Scholarship
Awarded annually to a student entering Fourth Year in a Canadian Faculty of Dentistry. Recipients are chosen by Colgate-Palmolive on the basis of academic achievement and community involvement.

Selection Method: Colgate-Palmolive Canada Inc. will review all applications and select the scholarship winner.
Notification: We thank all students for applying. Only the scholarship winner will be notified by November 1.
2015-2016 Scholarship Winner Selected
Darryl Iwaszkiw has been chosen as the recipient of the Colgate-Palmolive Scholarship for the academic year 2015-2016. Currently a final year student at the College of Dentistry, University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Darryll has achieved an outstanding academic record and has delivered leadership in community and outreach activities. Colgate-Palmolive congratulates Darryll on winning this scholarship and wishes her continued success in her professional career.
Colgate-Palmolive CDHA Dental Hygiene Academic Admission Scholarship
Awarded annually to a student with superior academic achievement entering First Year Dental Hygiene. Recipients are chosen by the school on the basis of superior academic achievement.
Value: Up to $500
Number: 1, per qualifying school, per academic year
To apply: Please contact your school's Dental Hygiene Program Coordinator.
Selection Method: Each school's Selection Committee will select the award recipient. The Committee will provide the recipient's name and a brief resume to the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association (CDHA). The CDHA will forward this information to Colgate-Palmolive Canada Inc. Application deadline: October 20.
Administration: This award is administered by the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association.
